It is my great pleasure to warmly welcome you to the website for The Downs Primary School and Nursery. The Downs is an inclusive primary school in the heart of Harlow. We have a dedicated staff team who ensure that the needs of each individual child are met, enabling every child to make the best possible progress.
We have now made arrangements for tours of the school for parents of children who are due to start school in September 2020.
12th to 19th October 2019 is National Hate Crime Awareness Week.
We have arranged Parent/Teacher Consultation Evenings for you to come along and meet with your child’s class teacher.
Children have enjoyed lots of activities in school this week.
We are proud to announce our new House Captains and Deputies and our new Pupil Leadership Team members.

Children in KS2 took part in a Badminton competition today. It was a new sport for many of them but despite their inexperience, they showed improvement in their hand/eye coordination, agility and reactions. Maybe this has inspired them to take up further? https://t.co/R8kWaCuFEq
Today was Aspen's assembly to parents. They enjoyed talking about all the different things they have been learning this term. Well done Aspen Class! https://t.co/ScjZrhVxlo
