Headteacher: Ms J Allen - It is my great pleasure to warmly welcome you to the website for The Downs Primary School and Nursery. The Downs is an inclusive primary school in the heart of Harlow. We have a dedicated staff team who ensure that the needs of each individual child are met, enabling every child to make the best possible progress.
The Young Carers in Schools programme helps primary and secondary schools improve outcomes for young carers and celebrates good practice through the Young Carers in Schools Award.
We have been working with 3PR to try and make parking safer around the school.
All the children at The Downs spent the week last week celebrating different cultures around the world. Please ask your children about what they learned. Attached below is a sheet of some facts about the different culture to help you think of some good questions.
We have several beautiful new canvas prints around the new building.
We want to make you aware of an incident that has been reported. A primary school (not The Downs) received information from a parent that someone purporting to be a School Nurse contacted them by text to ask questions about their child.
